Sandyland - May 2011 Highlights
Sandyland Bluegrass Reunion is like no other bluegrass festival in the world.
If you have been here before, you know what we are talking about..............if
not, you don't know what you are missing. May's reunion was chalked full of
outstanding traditional bluegrass and gospel music and an ample helping of
good, clean comedy and antics. ONLY AT SANDYLAND!!!! Take a look
below for the proof.
The festivities begin with a delicious
potluck supper and a romping jam!
Thanks to everyone that added a dish
to the table.
Isn't that a guilty looking
"feller" playing the bass!!
Mr. Earl Garner on the fiddle and the
Herzog boys (Justin and "Rough")
keep the jams going all weekend long!!
Former members of the Anderson
Family Band entertain the crowd as
the opening guest band on Friday night.
Herzog Family Band
brings their special
blend of bluegrass
and gospel music to
the stage.
The Herzog's set was interrupted  by a motley crew of
misfits!! Cowboy tries to explain the situation.
Wise County Bluegrass is always a
crowd favorite
Mill Creek, a new addition to
Sandyland, did a fantastic job
entertaining the crowd with good
traditional bluegrass music
The Blake Brothers Bluegrass Band rounds out Friday night with a hard driving set.
